Rooted in Long Beach Island

The Garden Club of Long Beach Island grew from a small group brought together by a love of gardening in the late 1950s. Today, that spirit continues through education, public gardens, environmental stewardship and service to our Island community.

Since 1957

A tradition of gardening, friendship & service

Our Leadership

Guiding the club and growing the community

trial

Growing Beauty. Building Community.

The club maintains two gardens that are open to the public all year: The Edith Duff Gwinn Garden, founded by its namesake in 1968, and The Beach Haven Library Garden started in 1996.

Each Monday from May to November, you’ll find a dedicated group of workers there planning, planting and, yes, even doing the occasional photo op!
