Our Meetings

Membership meetings are held on the second Thursday of each month from September through May, excluding December. Professional speakers present programs on floral design, horticulture, environmental issues and other garden-related subjects.

More Than Gardening

Some of our most meaningful work happens beyond the garden gate. Through education, creativity and service, our members find ways to share what they love and support the community around them.

Environmental Stewardship
Our Environmental Committee shares practical ways to protect Long Beach Island and its surrounding communities. From reducing single-use plastics to supporting pollinators and taking part in beach cleanups, the focus is on learning together and putting that knowledge to work.

Youth Programs
Our Youth Committee helps local children explore gardening, floral design and the coastal environment through creative, hands-on projects. Seasonal activities make learning about plants and the natural world engaging and fun.

Connecting Generations
Our Intergenerational Committee brings children, parents, grandparents and special guests together through school-based floral projects. Working alongside Garden Club volunteers, participants share ideas, create arrangements and enjoy time together.

Senior Services
Flowers offer a wonderful reason to gather. Through seasonal programs and hands-on floral workshops, our Senior Services Committee shares creativity, conversation and companionship with local senior groups.

Scholarships
Our scholarship program supports local students pursuing studies in environmental, marine, horticultural and closely related sciences. Funds raised through the Clubu2019s signature tours help students continue their education and their interest in the natural world.

Special Projects and Community Grants
Through our Special Projects Committee, the Club supports projects that benefit the environment, landscape, waterways and local ecology. Grants funded by our major tours help other organizations carry out work that makes a difference in our community.

Flowers in Our Libraries
Members share their floral-design talents through fresh and dried arrangements at the Surf City and Beach Haven libraries. Seasonal displays and miniature flower exhibits bring a little garden inspiration into these community spaces.

Honoring Those Who Serve
Our community work also includes military appreciation, with the Blue Star memorial at the Beach Haven Library and support for Stamps for the Wounded. These efforts recognize service while offering meaningful ways to give back.
