Members of The Garden Club of LBI was awarded the Garden Club of the Year Silver Trophy! This prestigious award is presented to a member club which receives the highest score, in proportion to size, for participation and accomplishment in garden club projects and objectives on community, state and national levels!!

We are thrilled to announce that The Garden Club of LBI was presented with several awards for the 2024 year at the annual Garden Club of New Jersey meeting in May.
Peg Morrissey, Vice President of the Garden Club of New Jersey, officiated the Installation of the Officers: JoAnne McKee, who will serve as President from 2025 to 2027, and Jane Niemeyer, who has taken on the role of Recording Secretary for the Executive Board. Michele Farias was acknowledged as the new District VIII Director, and Bev Reitinger stepped into the position of GCNJ Awards Chair. Additionally, Bev Reitinger received recognition for the Garden Club of NJ’s Perennial Bloom Award.
Once again, we won First Place for the Yearbook Award in the Large Club Division as well as a Certificate of Merit with Gold Seal for an excellent 2024 – 2025 yearbook. Congratulations to Janice Stonaker and Tracey Cameron for creating this beautiful and creative guide for our members.
And finally (drumroll, please), we were awarded the Garden Club of the Year Award Silver Trophy for participation and accomplishment in garden club projects and objectives on community, state and national levels. New Jersey is home to over 100 garden clubs, making the receipt of this award a significant achievement. This honor recognizes the exceptional efforts of our group and is a testament to the creativity, dedication, and hard work of all our members who contribute to the success of our club.
