Senior Services Chair 2025-2026 : Marge Girardo
If you believe that wisdom comes with age, Senior Services may be able to teach you a thing or two. Meeting eight times a year on the third Wednesday of the month, club members present a program and a workshop for local senior groups under the direction of the Senior Services committee chair.
Senior Services May 2026
Senior Service met this month at at the Southern Ocean County resource center in Manahawkin. Six members of our committee interacted with lovely and interesting, Senior Citizens, helping them to make flower arrangements using patriotic colors, red, white, and blue with a touch of gold to celebrate the 250th birthday of our country.
Holiday Cheer! December
The Senior Services Committee from The Garden Club of LBI, met with 26 members from the St. Francis Meals-on-Wheels on Wednesday, November 19, 2025, at the Ocean County Southern Service Center in Manahawkin. Garden Club members assisted the attendees by providing rust poms, yellow poms with green centers, burgundy, golden rod and local greens in fall colors from our members yards for their arrangements. Each senior created beautiful vases adorned with vibrant acorns and accented with a ribbon for a Thanksgiving vibe. The guests found joy in participating in the activities and valued the creative aspects of the project!
A heartfelt photo was taken to celebrate three remarkable women aged 98, 101, and 102. The day was filled with joy, creativity, and camaraderie. We are grateful for the chance to spend this precious time with our seniors!
