Members of The Garden Club of LBI took part in the Family Health and Safety Fair, sponsored by the LBI Health Department and the St. Francis Center.

Our dedicated volunteers included Joanne McKee, Lisa Tyson, Lois Ernst, Kathy Dowe, Jane Niemeyer, Donna Erhard, and Judy Bouton. We handed out nearly 100 packets of bee-friendly wildflower seeds along with literature on native planting and composting. Lisa Tyson designed an informative poster highlighting the health benefits of gardening. Additionally, we distributed our Club’s trifolds and shared valuable information from the Environmental Committee regarding efforts to reduce plastic pollution.

It was truly rewarding to engage in conversations with visitors at our table, sharing our gardening experiences and discussing upcoming events like our Outside Living Garden Tour and Art Show, as well as the Holiday Tour of Homes!
