Peggy Morrissey, Garden Club of New Jersey District VIII Director, and Lois Perry, Garden Club of LBI President, hosted 21 Ocean County Garden Club presidents at the United Methodist Church in Beach Haven Terrace on October 19, 2020. The Fall District Meeting focused on building individual club’s membership and expertise, through media, fundraising, community outreach to educate our members and the greater community.
Marge Girardo, Lois Perry, Carol DiMeglio, Judie Alloway and Maria Dinella (not pictured) hosted the meeting with a lovely luncheon tea. Beautiful fall arrangements, created by Judie Alloway, graced the room in true garden club fashion. Guests had the opportunity to meet others with the same interests and profit from their experiences and programs.
Gillian Rozicer, GC Publicity Chair presented her strategies for publicizing garden club events on a regular basis, reaching large numbers of the public. Her work provides an avenue for showcasing our programs that support our community.
Kathy Gronostajski, Environmental Chair, provided an outstanding and informative display, highlighting our efforts to educate and promote environmental awareness. The environmental committee attended six events during the summer months.
Guests were delighted with the information and garnered tips for action in their communities.
