The Garden Club of LBI presented The Magic of LBI through the 56th Annual Holiday Tour of Homes. House Tour Chair, Beverly Reitinger, orchestrated an amazing tour with a full year of planning and organization for the event. Every detail was addressed for the success of this tour involving all members. Congratulations to Bev and thanks go to all our visitors for supporting the Garden Club’s efforts to give back to our lovely island community.

Vintage Treasure – Beach Haven

A historic Quaker sanctuary boasts a beautifully upgraded home. The original house was built in the 1800’s as a side-by-side home for two families. The two corner sea blue front doors are reminiscent of the original structure. Inside, a polished antique staircase, leads to six bedrooms and 4 1/2 baths. Its traditional name, Holly House, comes from a grandmother Holly who opened the house 200 years ago to hard-working lifeguards. Shining with character and timeless style, the house has stood fast in epic hurricane and storms galore.

Lagoon Luxury – Beach Haven

A sprawling, spectacular corner mansion is amazingly angled toward Webster Lagoon. The oversized lot lay empty for many years until the owner saw its potential. Wings of living spaces spring from either side of the corner facing the front door. Immediately upon entering, you are drawn to the magnificent water view. As you stroll from room to room you are taken by the serene and comfortable scene the owners have created.

Cozy Cottage – Brant Beach

A Shapiro Cape cottage popular in the 1950’s has been transformed into a beachside contemporary. As time lapsed, the original beach cottage was revamped keeping the cottage theme. The renovation also included four new bedrooms upstairs, each boasting its own ensuite bathroom. This extension provides ample private accommodations for residents and guests, ensuring their comfort and convenience.

Lavish Dream – Loveladies

A skyrocketing stone chimney greets you at this stunning contemporary. Inside the beautiful home, a baby grand piano immediately catches your eye. Circle of windows are throughout the house, capturing views of the bay at every time of the day. The owner’s one-of-a-kind baseball collection is located in an entire room devoted to the Cleveland Guardians (Indians) team.

Endless Summer – Barnegat Light

The Sandcastle Bed & Breakfast, a landmark so well known on LBI, is a beautiful hotel that boasts many sparkling water views and incredible orange and purple sunsets. The individually appointed bedrooms are in deep blue, peach and bright yellow with intriguing names like Egret’s Landing and Lighthouse Vista. The cozy dining deck and the comfy lounge all have spectacular views of the iconic Barnegat Lighthouse.
