Seven Garden Club members spread holiday magic in the 44th annual Ship Bottom Christmas Parade.  Karen Martinez, chair of the Parade Committee, along with club President Lois Perry and members Maria Dinella Lisa Tyson, Lee-Ann Orso, Diana Castle and Carol Thim walked and waved along the parade route, carried The Garden Club banner, gave out candy to kids, and demonstrated goodwill in our community.

The day before Garden Club members built a fun -filled float for the parade. Working together, they decorated a Christmas tree, wrapped presents and piled giant stuffed animals  into a red truck. Lots of holiday greenery in planters and garlands was added. The decorating committee headed by Karen included Carol Thim, Diana Castle, Mary DeRogatin, Carol Stracensky and Mary Wilding.

The theme this year was “Christmas with Friends”  The parade created laughter and good fun for the hundreds who came out to cheer us on!
